Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 Lite – Review
Samsung Galaxy Lite S6 Lite, the "Lite" version of the high-end Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 tablet introduced in the last year-end in December 2019 and it is probably the most affordable tablet by the company.
Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 is giving fierce competition to Apple's iPad Pro and taking up a firm stand against Apple's iPad with affordable price and big screen size.
Galaxy Tab S6 Lite features include a 10.4 inch TFT Display offering 2000x1200 resolution. Although it has an adequate screen size, but lack AMOLED panel, that is an important consideration when buying a tab. TFT display makes a pretty good view with its bright screen that can also be seen outdoors. Apart, it features an Exynos 9611 processor with 4 GB RAM and 64 GB internal memory, making it an ideal choice for browsing, gaming playing, and notes taking.
It also incorporates an 8-megapixel rear camera and a 5-megapixel front camera. It comes with a box design and format that we're used to seeing on Samsung's home and mid-segment phones. When we lift the cover, the tablet welcomes us with a sturdy case. The tablet, which comes in color called 'Oxford gray,' looks very stylish with its thin metal body. The Tab comes with an 8-megapixel rear camera and the 5-megapixel front camera that allows users to capture photos and shoot videos conveniently. The Tab features a handy camera app that makes it easy for the users to the tablet.
The tablet carries USB-A and USB-C charging adapters, a microSD card slot along with a quick start guide, and warranty document in the box. Finally, there is also an S Pen capacitive stylus in the box that makes drawing, sketching, and writing notes easy. It is bigger and thicker than the Galaxy Note series phones we see, and there is a button on it. It can be easily held and used as a pen. Its movement and responsiveness on the screen are excellent.
Samsung Galaxy S6 Lite comes with an Android 10 version with UI 2.1 user interface. It also incorporates a face recognition system, allowing users to set up the feature during installation. However, the Tab lacks standard fingerprint reader functionality, which is a crucial requirement for the users. The Samsung S6 Tab offers several built-in Apps from Google, Samsung, and Microsoft.
The company has added S Pen feature for easy use with Samsung Notes using S Pen technology.
There are two speakers placed on the two short sides of the tablet. The sound output averages one tablet, but when the Dolby Atmos is turned on, the volume and quality of the sound increases. We often recommend keeping this setting on. You can also access this setting from the quick settings in the notification tray. Two speakers are attached on the sides of the tablet along with Dolby Atmos that enhances the sound quality and allows users to increase the sound volume and quality.
