How Apple Watch Fall Detection Helped An Old Woman In the Emergency?

Apple Watch Series 4 received so much appreciation since its release due to its amazing ECG functionality, but it’s another lifesaving feature surfaced when it helped an old woman calling emergency at the time of the accident.

News Centre, Maine reported that a woman met an accident on her way back from the grocery.    Dotty White met an accident when she was driving in Kennebunk, Maine and was unable to access her phone to call for help. Fortunately, Apple Watch helped her by doing so and reported the accident as a hard fall sensing through the device's fall detection feature. Ultimately, it created alerts for her family members by dialing her son and daughter who could be able to track the location of the accident.

James White, the son of the old woman got notified through a text message rush to the place of accident to rescue and informed his sister who already got to know about the accident of their mother. Though White injured due to the accident, but Apple’s watch really helped her to avoid more miseries. 

“The watch really helped us through the message”, James White told News Centre. White thanked Apple for such an intelligent watch to have one on her wrist. It did a wonderful job and saved her life in a car accident. 

Apple introduced Fall tracking in its latest Series 4 watch and successfully work for users above 65 years of age. Apart from this feature, the watch updates users about time, weather and location.
